Analysis of oral and pharyngeal cancer rates in Wales, November 2024

The report presents the analysis of referral data from the electronic Referral Management System (eRMS) for the management of paediatric tooth decay and from sites providing Out-Patient Paediatric General Anaesthetic services for dental extraction.

Referral data related to the paediatric management of tooth decay was analysed to determine year by year trends for referrals by health board by financial year (1^st April 2020 to 31^st March 2023).

Updated referral form (October 2024) for Intermediate Tier Oral Surgery – a fast-track service to aid in the management of failed exodontia under LA.
