North Wales Local Dental Committee
A Local Dental Committee is a statutory body representing all primary care dental practitioners in their Primary Care Trust area of the NHS.
As the local representative committee for dental practitioners, the LDC has the statutory right to be consulted by the relevant Local Health Board and Strategic Health Authority on issues relating to the dental profession particularly on the provision of Dental Services. The LDC is an independent body paid for by primary care dentist themselves via a levy collected from dentists in the area.
The function of North Wales Local Dental Committee is:
- To represent the interests of all primary care dental practitioners and dental professionals
- To promote and support the NHS interests of eligible practitioners and liaise with the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board in respect of those interests
- To promote and support the interests of patients and liaise with The LHB as appropriate
We are committed to be a source of support, advice and reference for all dentists in North Wales. All of our committee are listed on this website and we do our best to be available should you need to contact any of us.
